Same here....having a little issue in GIMP....*sigh* Open source software ALWAYS gives me issues, as much as i love it.

Trying the old flame effect, where you make a white line on a black canvass, and smudge it up. you then go too colors>color balance and make the white/black smudges red/yellow for fire.
Its worked fine in every other video, and works on my text...but not my "fire" I move the sliders and nothing happens.
I did notice when i make a white line, and then do color balance, it changes the color faintly on the edges.
