Real Life LoZ Items

Currently I am going to start working on a series of real life semi-working LoZ items, starting with the hookshot. I am working on plans right now. If anyone would like to help, please give me plans for various items and help me find places (online, or near Massachusetts).

Omg. I went to the mall today and into this Japaneses type store and they had a master sword and two different sized replicas of the Hylian Shield. I showed my friend and we were like "Whoa!" I should've taken a picture of it :l I'm disappointed in myself.

Where was this? Anyway, the hookshot won't be an ordinary hookshot, it will be a cross between the hookshot, and the clawshot, but appearing to be OoT styled. When you fire it (still don't know how this will work. Maybe with a spring.) it will shoot about 10 feet. Since it is just a replica, I will have to make a lightweight, dull spearhead shaped object as the head. When this hits something with enough force, it will trigger the "clawshot" and cause it to close. Similar to how a crane game works. Then, to bring it back in, I will attach a reel to it. I expect this project to take me a long time to perfect. I could probably just pick up a plastic chain and make a head. Then find a reel and attach it to the chain and something like the handle to a kite. That will be the easy part. Once done I will show you the piece.

Nice! I live in Massachusetts as well. The only thing I can help you with is a Deku Stick.

Omg! Deku Stick ftw. I don't think you'd like to come all the way to Texas to get a shield that cost 600 bucks

600 bucks? Please, I can get one in my backyard for only 500.

I could probably build a paper mache (if that's how you spell it) Deku nut in like, 10 minutes.

That would be kind of cool, especially if you painted it.

I'm sure the nuts would make for a good wall display as well.

Would it be a good idea to carve out the inside of the nut, and sticking a light in to make it look like the inside is glowing (The stunning flash not yet released)?

Seems like an interesting idea to me.

If you stuck that on the end of a staff, it could be a cool accessory to a costume. Like maybe a "Deku Wizard" sort of thing.

Hm, I guess I could make a flat bottom on the deku nut (well I would have to for the light) and make a hole for a deku stick and that would be the "Deku Staff".

These will be temporarily put on hold, I just started High School today.

Well, you still have quite some time until Halloween.

I start tomorrow.
